Description
Its just like a WD spray isn’t it?
No definitely not. WD sprays or water dispersants are generally formulated using a cheap light grade mineral oil blended with a solvent as a thinning and dispersing agent. Whilst this does disperse water/moisture it is also easily dispersed itself by additional water/moisture and offers little on going protection or the unique lubrication, protection and non-staining properties of Helmar H4000 Silicone Spray.
Why ours is better than other brands of Silicone spray?
The same formula (except the change of propellant in 1988 from CFC’s to a butane/propane blend) is still used today.
The same high quality silicone polymer and solvent blend has been maintained for good reason.
It leaves a dry silicone film providing what we believe to be the best combination for lubrication and protection. Many other brands use excessive amounts of solvent to boost the weight of the product giving a false impression of more product in the aerosol can. The excess solvent can damage components and the surface that these types of silicone sprays are applied to.
Of course the other cost cutting method is to use a lesser grade silicone oil or emulsion in the product. Whilst it may appear that you have saved money in the short term. The downgraded performance of these products is very apparent over several applications when compared to Helmar H4000 Silicone Spray.
BTW save your money you don’t need a can of Garage Door lubricant either Helmar H4000 Silicone Spray will do the job perfectly.
